Cambridge O-Level
O-Level candidates are welcome on SECCAP. You just need one extra step before you apply: IBCC equivalence.
If you completed your Cambridge O-Level examinations, your grades (A*, A, B, C and so on) must first be converted into a comparable Matric percentage before you can compete on the SECCAP merit list. This conversion is done by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), which issues an official equivalence certificate. Once you have that certificate, the rest of the process is the same as for Matric students — your equivalent percentage is used to calculate your merit.
Obtain your IBCC equivalence certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen — it maps your O-Level grades to a comparable Matric percentage.
On the portal, choose the O-Level application route (separate from the regular application).
Upload your O-Level result slip, IBCC equivalence certificate and all other required documents.
Your merit is calculated on the IBCC-equivalent percentage; the rest of the process is identical to Matric students.
Getting your IBCC equivalence certificate can take several days to a few weeks. Begin the equivalence process as soon as your O-Level results are out so your certificate is ready well before the SECCAP last date. Do not wait until the final phase.
